2019 Christmas Card Design

December 13, 2019

For the second year, Everest Collegiate High School & Academy students have had the opportunity to submit artwork using any media. The theme for this year's contest was: Madonna and Child. The winning artwork was submitted by sixth grader Cole Duhaime. Cole's pencil drawing Mary and Jesus was used as the cover of this year's Christmas card. Check your mail for this year's card and design!

The runner-up in this year's competition was submitted by seventh grader Graysen Harris. His image Mother and Child demonstrates a more classical iconic style.

Many thanks to art teacher Mrs. Carrie Mazure for organizing this opportunity for students. At Everest, students learn how to express themselves through visual media and understand the social, historical, and religious context of art in history. As they grow in knowledge of studio arts, they have an opportunity to see how their work fits into this larger context.
