8th Grade Visits Zekelman Center

April 4, 2025

Eighth-grade students had the opportunity to visit The Zekelman Holocaust Center. This field trip is an annual experience for Everest's eighth graders that aligns with their curriculum. Having read The Hiding Place in literature last trimester and learning about WWII in history this trimester, this experience helps tie together what they are learning in these areas of intellectual formation. Students had the opportunity to view artifacts from the concentration camps, learn age-appropriate details about the Holocaust from an experienced museum guide, and hear accounts from a next-generation survivor of the Holocaust.
