B16 Tournament More than Sports

October 10, 2022

Besides the traditional sporting events of basketball, soccer, and hockey, this year's B16 teams also enjoyed times of bonding and friendship. The theme for B16 this year was “Follow Me”. There was a board where athletes were encouraged to put “footprints” whenever they acted like a true follower of Jesus. During their team chapel visit, each team reflected on how even when it can be hard to follow Jesus, He is always with us. Each girl made a bookmark reflecting on the famous story of “Footprints on the Sand”. For the service project, with this year’s theme, the teams made care packages for seminarians. They included personalized letters and key chains, candy, board games, office supplies, and other basic needs. Finally, there was the ECYD room, where teams would go to learn this year’s theme dance, performed for the parents at the closing ceremony. The weekend is always a highlight of the year for students.
