Becoming Men of God

As December begins, the sophomore boys had their annual retreat at the Subiaco Retreat Center in Oxford. The theme of the retreat was "A Real Man is a Man of God". On Monday evening, former Everest parent, Brandon Gentile, came to share his experience playing hockey at a collegiate level and the world of professional sports with its pressures. Fr. Terrance Allen, LC conducted adoration with the boys that night. It was a powerful spiritual experience for them.
The following day, Mr. Maul directed an activity titled "The 5 Shifts of Manhood". The boys broke up into small groups and discussed one of the five shifts that each boy needs to make in his life to become a man. The boys gave good presentations and had quality comments on each of the "shifts". The retreat ended with Mass. The boys had a great time. Let us pray to God asking Him to continue to guide these boys as they take those steps towards becoming men of God.
