Celebrating Mountaineer First Communicants

A very special moment each year is the Mass honoring Everest's First Communicants. After preparing throughout the year to receive the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist, Everest second graders make their First Communions at their local parishes. They have the opportunity to celebrate the occasion back at school in a special way with a Mass. They wear their First Communion outfits and are joined by their parents and peers to celebrate the gift of receiving the Eucharist.
