Celebrating the Papacy at Everest

A well-cherished tradition at Everest is the annual Feast of the Chair of St. Peter celebration. Everest's second graders participated in a mock conclave earlier this month and elected this year's "pope." Jonathon (Johnny) Harrell represented the papacy flanked by his Swiss Guards, Ian Dziekoński and Drew Mazurek. The three were greeted by the student body in the halls of the lower school and middle school and at the high school lunch. This year, our "pope'" had some extra security protection from Fr. Christopher and the RC missionaries! All Mountaineers celebrated the day with "pope-sicles" and much enthusiasm!
