Congratulations 8th Grade!

June 16, 2021

Eighth-grade students are ready to take the next step in the educational journey as they transition to high school. Before they move across the driveway in the fall, faculty, staff, students, and families gathered to celebrate the class and recognize their achievements this year. During the Mass, each eighth grader receives a rosary, reminding them to continue to entrust themselves to Mary's motherly intercession. Following Mass and the awards ceremonies, this year's Father Lorenzo Gomez Renaissance of Values Scholarship recipients were also announced. Congratulations, eighth grade! We can't wait to see where the next four years will take the Class of 2025.

Olivia Leahy and James Williams were awarded the Fr. Lorenzo Gomez Renaissance of Values scholarship. Nineteen years ago, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Mylod established the Fr. Lorenzo Gomez Renaissance of Values Scholarship which recognizes and encourages the development of the traits of the spirituality, family orientation, industriousness, service, and scholarship. The scholarship was named in honor of Fr. Lorenzo Gomez, LC, co-founder and chaplain of Everest Collegiate High School & Academy, who truly exemplifies these ideals. The scholarship provides a one-time, $6,000 award toward a student’s high school tuition.

Congratulations eighth graders on all your achievements!
