EC Grad Designed Hallway Mural

September 8, 2021

As EC students return to the high school halls this year, there is a new mural that was finished just at the close of the last school year. Madden Owczarzak, Class of 2021, completed a mural in the upstairs high school hallway. Madden developed the project from start to finish for his intermediate visual arts course under the direction of Mrs. Carrie Mazure. The imagery of the mural represents the four dimensions of Everest's educational pedagogy of Integral Formation. The dove represents spiritual formation, the medal - intellectual formation, the clasped hands - apostolic formation, and the heart and earth in the gold weights - human formation. He chose the imagery of the compass to illustrate how the four dimensions give students a strong foundation from which they can navigate their individual paths and ultimately reach their potential.

Thank you, Madden, for sharing your talents and leaving your legacy at EC!
