ECYD Provides Parent Formation

On Saturday, November 5, parents came together for a morning of learning and reflecting about adolescence. Aly Brotherton, a member of the ECYD Life department for the ECYD national team, gave a presentation titled “Who is the Adolescent?”. Fr. Brian Hoelzen, Miss Gaby Ruiloba, Matt Williams, and Erin Van Wagoner also presented about the different aspects of development, and led participants in different activities in which they were able to reflect on their experiences and apply the different topics of reflection. After lunch, Jen Bowden and Erin Pontillo, members of the girls’ leadership team, prepared an activity for participants to see all that ECYD offers for their teens. Towards the end, ECYD members and eighth-grade Everest students Giselle Wolschleger and Vaughn Mulrenin led all the attendants in an adoration prayer experience, in which they were able to share their own experience of Christ and prayer in ECYD.
