Fall Clean-Up for the Sisters

December 11, 2019

“Let no one ever come to you without leaving better and happier. Be the living expression of God's kindness: kindness in your face, kindness in your eyes, kindness in your smile.” ― Mother Teresa

The sixth-grade girls spent a morning raking leaves for the Dominican Sisters at Mt. Thabor Monastery in Ortonville.

Rebecca Berney shared that it was important to put others first and at the end of the day she felt she had helped the nuns and felt she accomplished something special. Lilly Hamilton learned that the nuns lived a very devote and quiet life, and her favorite part was jumping in the leaf pile. Isabel Garciarce felt joy and pride raking the leaves and enjoyed speaking with the nuns.

Thank you sixth-grade girls for your service and to our parent volunteers who drove for the apostolic field trip.
