First Grade Mother & Child Retreat

In early November, first-grade students were happy to have their moms join them at school for their annual mother and child retreat. The moms were impressed to hear and see who much their children have been learning about the Mass as the students answered all of Fr. Thomas’s questions. After Mass, each mom and child worked together to make a Rosary Lap Prayer book. The books will help students lead and pray the rosary on their own. After making the lap books, the mom’s stayed for a reflection lead by Miss Rose about the importance of teaching their children to pray, especially by example. The retreat ended with some fellowship time, allowing the moms to share and get to know each other better.
