Freshmen Focus on "New Year, New You"

September 19, 2023

Throughout the school year, the EC formation team provides "surprise seminars" for groups of students. These carefully-planned activities help guide a class or a gender-specific class group to focus on living virtue, growth, and their focus as they face the challenges of high school. The first seminar of this year was for the freshman class. This seminar focused on starting high school with a fresh, new perspective in order to become the best version of themselves over the next four years.

Seniors Joseph Milosch and Kathleen Thibodeau shared some advice on how to be the most successful in high school as well as some good lessons they have learned through experiences at EC. Mrs. Ciarimella, school counselor, gave the class a presentation on positive mindset and the effects of good choices on their brain. The students played a fun, competitive game of panuelo with Miss Regina & Fr. Thomas. Mrs. Van Wagoner led the freshmen through an activity that allowed them to identify their strengths both as individuals and as a group and helped the class to set goals together. The last activity involved the students writing a letter to their future selves that they will receive their senior year. The morning ended in the chapel with a special class blessing for the Class of 2027!
