Honoring All Souls' Day

All Souls' Day falls on November 2 and is a day on which Catholic remember the souls of the faithfully departed. Everest students honored this day throughout the school. High school students created a place outside of the chapel where students could write the names of those who had died and ask for prayers.
The international program invited students to learn more about how the dead are honored in Mexico. This day, Dia de los Muertos, includes the remembrance of family members and loved ones through the creation of special altars. The program created such an altar and invited the academy religion classes to come. The altar included the images of former international students who have passed away.
