International Students Adjust to Mountaineer Life

As international students complete their second week at Everest, new places and tasks are starting to become familiar routines. The first weeks are overwhelming with a second language, new friends, missing home, and all the discomforts that come with relocation. They navigate a new home away from home, new school, new teachers, new friends, and new sports clinics – soccer, work out classes, and even cross country running. Day-by-day, Everest becomes more familiar. The excitement of the opportunity before them carries them through the challenges. The first weekend without their parents brought the opportunity to attend Friday night football, go to a Tigers Game, spend time at the park, buy some essentials at Target, and participate in sports and activities at the dorm. Congratulations to our international students on overcoming challenges!
