JK Celebrated Author of the Month

Each month Everest's junior kindergarten class has an author. October's author of the month is Eric Carle. Carle is author of popular children's books including The Very Hungry Caterpillar, Brown Bear Brown Bear What do you see?, and more. On Tuesday, October 6, junior kindergarten read the book Pancakes! Pancakes! In the story, Eric Carle taught students all about how to make pancakes from scratch. So that is just what junior kindergarten did! Not only did the class have fun and enjoy a yummy treat, they are learning that words can come to life and provide meaning. Junior kindergarten loves learning to read!
