Kicking Off Reading Month

March is reading month! Everest's president, Mr. Nalepa, visited the early elementary to kick off the month with The Very Hungry Caterpillar. Students had decorated hats and eagerly called out responses as Mr. Nalepa read. Classes also enjoyed a special treat.

Every year the lower elementary students have a special challenge from principal Mrs. Ender. For each book they read this month, they will be adding a green circle to the cafeteria wall as they build their own hungry caterpillar. Their goal is to extend the caterpillar around the entire cafeteria! Happy reading, Mountaineers!
