MAP Growth Testing Begins

September 8, 2026

One of the areas of focus for Everest leadership this year is more meaningful implementation and analysis of MAP Growth test results for kindergarten through seventh-grade students. For nearly ten years, Everest has used MAP Growth testing to assess lower school and middle school students in reading, math, and language. This is an adaptive test that responds students’ correct and incorrect answers with more challenging or less difficult questions. MAP Growth testing began this week with a few question to help students understand the test and how not to rush through the test. Everest leadership is working to utilize new reporting tools from MAP Growth to understand better MAP Growth results and how those results should inform classroom instruction.
