Mountaineer Challenge Week - Apostolic Formation

April 1, 2020

Everest students develop a heart of an apostle sensitive to the needs of others. While students can't leave home, they can continue to share Gospel joy and love from far away. Wednesday's Mountaineer Challenge was focused on apostolic formation. Students have been sharing joy, sending cards, and helping out with siblings and parents at home.

Elementary students were invited today to make cards for residents at Lourdes Nursing Home. The cards, once sanitized, will be delivered to residents to bring joy.

Rudy made the residents a card!

Anthony and Madeline McGrath and Lola Gjonaj all made cards to mail to grandparents.

Stella Milosch wrote thank you notes.

Rayne Sickmiller made a card for Kroger employees.

Branden Sandeen helped is mom out folding his clothes and putting them away.

Danielle and Duncan Brown called their grandparents via Facetime.

Bella and Bryan Bowden shared Gospel joy and hope through the art project they did on their front windows.

Junior Maggie Smith and her family are making masks for healthcare workers. They have givens them to nurses who work at nursing homes and other doctors' offices. Here is Mrs. Smith modeling one.

Junior Michael McGrath reached out to the school counselor whose husband is deployed to see if she needed anything. She returned home to all her leaves in her yard neatly cleaned up. Nice work, Michael!

The missionaries who volunteer a year to help with the international program returned to their homes when the students did. However, they continue to volunteer remotely supporting our students!

The high school faculty had an initiative to bring joy to headmaster Greg Reichert during their weekly faculty meeting. All the faculty members showed up to their Zoom meeting wearing all sorts of different hats!
