Mountaineers Welcome Coach Gulliver

Everest Collegiate High School is pleased to announce that Coach Jimmy Gulliver will be coaching the Mountaineer varsity baseball team beginning in the spring of 2023.

Coach Gulliver comes to Everest with a wealth of experience and talent in baseball. A graduate and four-year varsity starter for Allen Park High School, Gulliver went on to play shortstop at Eastern Michigan, winning a MAC championship in 2008. He batted .338 his junior year and earned second-team All-MAC honors. Following his junior season in 2009, he was drafted by the Detroit Tigers, playing in the Tigers Organization from 2009 to 2013.

Coach Gulliver is a member of Mountaineer family. His wife Darylann attended Everest Academy in grade school. Mrs. Gulliver also helped coach the middle school tennis program in the spring of 2022. Their daughter Eastyn attends preschool at Everest. 

Everest extends immense gratitude to Coach Brian Plante for coaching the Mountaineers for the 2022 season. Coach Plante previously coached the Everest CYO 7-8 grade baseball team for years. He is looking forward to enjoying his spring seasons in Florida with his wife Maura. Thank you, Coach Plante, for the legacy you have left in the Everest baseball program.
