MS CSW Outings

February 2, 2022

As we approach two years since March of 2020 when the world changed dramatically, there are still a few things that is has been two years since we've enjoyed. One of those things was the annual middle school outings during Catholic Schools Week. Students set out on Tuesday to bowling and ice skating outings to Cherry Hill Lanes and Troy Ice Area.

Catholic Schools Week isn't only about fun activities. Throughout the week, students have also been reflecting on the gift of Catholic education. Sixth grade Max Amador shared the following.

"Here faith is everywhere, and it is amazing. It gives you a feeling that everywhere you go you are being protected... Faith is a gift, it's not something you earn or something you take advantage of. It is beautiful and full of happiness. That is one reason why I love Catholic schools... This school is a challenge, and I am glad I have trouble because with mistakes there can always be improvement. That is my second reason why I love Everest.

Everest has some of the happiest people I know. It changed me. There is always something to laugh about and everyone can’t stop laughing... Kids help each other out if it's with homework or even other kids. Everest has raised some amazing people and made them better people. That is my third reason why I love Everest.

Everest is my happy place. When I need help with my family, I can go to Mr. Reichert. When I need help with faith, I can go to Father Thomas. When I need help with school, I can go to my friends. It has everything I need in one building. I love Everest, and I want to stay here for as long as I can."
