Prayer, A Relationship

March 11, 2019

The Catechism of the Catholic Church calls prayer the relationship with the living and truth God. (cf. CCC 2558).

Everest Collegiate High School & Academy fosters this relationship in our students through opportunities to pray throughout the day. It is important that prayer be for our students not only a requirement or an action but a relationship.

Fourth-grade teacher Mr. Mitchell has encouraged students to grown in this relationship by taking their free time before school to stop by the chapel and make a visit. Students and teachers have been coming together before homeroom to pray together. They've been praying the Prayer of St. Gertrude, praying for the souls in purgatory.
