Regrouping for the New Year
On Friday, January 11 Everest faculty and staff members joined together for a day of retreat held at Queen of the Family Retreat Center in Oxford. The retreat, led by Father John Bartunek, LC, covered the theme of spiritual growth and prayer. Participants enjoyed two conferences, a Q&A session, lunch catered by Culver's, Eucharistic adoration, and Mass. Father opened the retreat focusing on the mission of Everest and how this morning was about the faculty and staff refueling to be able to fulfill our mission. As part of the the talk on spiritual growth, Father related the elements that contribute to spiritual growth to Integral Formation. It was neat to see how the educational model used by the school is applicable for personal growth for any individual.
The annual retreat is a moment for all faculty and staff to regroup and recharge, to take time for their own integral formation so that they can be better instruments of God’s love and facilitators of integral formation for our students. They also really enjoy spending time together!
