Second-Grade Retreat with Mom

On All Souls' Day, Everest second graders enjoyed their morning retreat with mom. During Mass everyone was encouraged to either offer the Mass for the souls in purgatory or to offer it prayers for a loved one who had passed away. After Mass, while the moms had a reflection and fellowship time with Miss Rose, the students prepared a sheet for All Souls' Day, writing down all the names of loved ones they would like to pray for. When they joined their moms again they made together a flip book to help the second graders prepare for the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Thank you, moms, for coming and spending the morning with us.

Thank you, Miss Rose and Fr. Thomas, for organizing all the lower elementary mother and child retreats this fall. The upper elementary students are looking forward to their retreats in the winter.
