He is generous and has already done many nice things to help his new classmates in JK. He genuinely makes a point to congratulate his friends on their accomplishments. Easton is a wonderful example of the virtue of charity!" -Mrs. Reichert, Junior Kindergarten Teacher

Emma Kozyra

"I nominate Emma Kozyra for Mountaineer of the Month for the virtue of charity. Emma has a sweet love for her friends and is always there to share a kind word, a hug, or a funny joke to make them smile. She is always ready to help when one of them is in need of a friend or some to help with their work. Keep up the beautiful work and congratulations, Emma!" -Miss Giannone, Kindergarten Teacher

Leo Soltys

"Leo Soltys displays the virtue of charity on a daily basis. If a friend loses a crayon, Leo is quick to share one of his. He is a great listener and works hard every day to follow our school rules. Leo plays by rules and wants to make sure everyone feels involved. Keep working hard, Leo!" -Mrs. McGrath, Kindergarten Teacher

Dash Gulliver

"I nominate Dash Gulliver for Mountaineer of the Month for the virtue of charity. Dash is so kind to his classmates in the way he compliments them on their coloring, handwriting, and other creative creations. He is very generous with his toys and always welcomes his friends to play with him. Dash continues to spread his kindness by helping his teacher to assist his classmates who need guidance on their assignments. Thank you and congratulations, Dash! Keep up the great work!" Miss Giannone, Kindergarten Teacher

Calia Smith

"I would like to nominate Calia Smith for Mountaineer of the Month for the virtue of charity. Calia is always helping her fellow classmates when they might need it. She makes sure her tablemates are on track with our learning and helps anyone who might need extra help. She is always considerate of others’ feelings and always makes sure people feel included." -Miss Engle, First-Grade Teacher

Cru Webster

"I would like to nominate Cru Webster for Mountaineer of the Month for the virtue of charity. Cru is new to the school, but that doesn’t stop her from being a good friend and helping others in the classroom.  If a student cannot find a page in the textbook that we are all on, Cru is one of the first students to help that student find the page. She also makes sure the classroom is neat and tidy. You can find her cleaning up the floor even if she isn’t the one making the mess. Keep up the good work, Cru!" -Mrs. Mick, First-Grade Teacher

Veronica Saez

"I would like to nominate Veronica Saez for Mountaineer of the Month for the virtue of charity. Veronica loves helping out in the classroom.  If someone loses a book, she is right there helping her classmates find it. She always has a smile on her face and is a good friend to others. It is an honor to nominate Veronica for the virtue of charity." -Mrs. Mick, First-Grade Teacher

Eastyn Gulliver

"Eastyn is a wonderful example of charity. Every day we focus on how we can show charity to our classmates and friends. We do this by taking turns, listening to each other, and including others in our play. Every day Eastyn is the first to offer help to anyone who needs it. She is kind, helpful, and understanding. She does what is asked of her and will wait patiently for her friends to catch up. I am very proud of Eastyn for how she is setting the example of showing charity and bringing Jesus to others through her actions. Way to go, Eastyn!" -Miss Wildrick, Second-Grade Teacher

Joseph McGrath

"I would like to nominate Joey for the virtue of charity. Joey is friendly to everyone. He is respectful, considerate, and empathetic towards others." -Mrs. McGrath, Second-Grade Teacher

Jonathon Harrell

"Johnny has demonstrated the virtue of charity since the beginning of the school year. He is always willing to help others by getting materials for his classmates, offering assistance when someone is in need and being there to support his classmates. Johnny shows charity through his kindness, generosity, and willingness to put others before himself. He is thoughtful toward those around him and helps create a caring and welcoming classroom community." -Mrs. Walker, Third-Grade Teacher

Philamena Ariganello

"I would like to nominate Philamena for the virtue of charity. Philamena is a wonderful example of the virtue of charity. She is friendly and welcoming to everyone and consistently goes out of her way to help classmates and teachers. Whether it is assisting a classmate who is struggling, sharing materials, including someone who may feel left out, or offering encouragement when someone is having a difficult day, Philamena is always willing to lend a hand. She shows kindness through her words and actions, often helping others without being asked or expecting anything in return. Philamena’s generosity, compassion, and willingness to put others before herself make her a true example of charity in our classroom. -Mr. O'Keefe, Third-Grade Teacher

Zoey Motyka

"Zoey never hesitates to help out a classmate in need, whether it is to help them solve a practice problem, help them pick up a paper or pencil, or guide them to the correct page that is being read in class. Her charitable character is exceptional, and she demonstrates said character in the classroom and around the school. Zoey is selfless and empathetic. She treats her classmates with respect and helps make the classroom feel welcoming and calm." -Miss Guaderrama, Fourth-Grade Teacher

Isabella Ollervides

"When reflecting on the virtue of charity, the words of Mother Teresa came to mind. “Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love.” Mother Teresa’s words highlight one important aspect of this month’s virtue: that what we do, we do it out of love. While these words are sometimes hard to live by, a student in the fourth grade puts forth her best each day to emulate Mother Teresa’s message.

Charity is part of who Isabella Ollervides is. Isabella is charitable with her time, her talents, her generosity, and her kindness. While these are all noble qualities, what’s even more impressive is that Isabella does everything she does out of love for others. She is a person who sees what others need and acts. Without expecting any accolades, Isabella befriends the kid who may be lonely, sits with the kid at lunch who may need a friend, and/or invites others into her group. Isabella always acts with “great love.” It is with honor that I nominate Isabella Ollervides as this month’s Mountaineer of the Month." -Mrs. Motyka, Fourth-Grade Teacher

Tessa Ioco

"Tessa frequently demonstrates the virtue of charity as she offers to help others often and volunteers any time a task needs to be done. I am please to nominate Tessa for Mountaineer of the Month for the virtue of charity." -Mr. Sapienza, Fifth-Grade Teacher
