Sophomore Career Exploration

February 26, 2021

“What do you want to be when you grow up?”

“What is your vocation?”

“What should you study?”

These are all questions that we ask ourselves and that high school students square off against in a particular way as they prepare for college. This week, high school counselor, Mrs. Krogh, met with the sophomore students to provide some guidance as the students navigate this journey. Mrs. Krogh discussed these questions with students and the role that their strengths and talents, interests, discernment, and course choices have on their future college and career decisions. Students were introduced to different theories of career choice psychology and completed the Holland assessment. Mrs. Krogh will continue to follow up with students individually to help them explore their interest and choose courses which will help their preparation for college while discerning God’s will for their lives.
