Strangers Become Friends

May 3, 2023

The final weeks of the school year are here. They are bittersweet for international students as the arrival of May brings their final month together. Since arriving in August, strangers have become friends. The spring weather also brings fun outings. Following the boys' JPII Tournament, they visited Greenfield Village, enjoying some sunshine and an experience of American history. Diego de la Torre's favorite part of the village was the train ride. Meanwhile, the girls had an amazing night at the Fisher Theatre in Detroit to experience the Broadway show Annie. They sang, danced, cried, and laughed. The girls rounded out the weekend by throwing a 15th birthday party for Vale and a visit to one of their favorite places, Carnival Market, to buy Mexican goodies to share during movie nights.
