STREAM Summer Camp

August 14, 2019

Everest's summer STREAM camp took place during the week of July 22-26. Students in grades kindergarten through eighth grade participated in the week events.

Grades K-4 enjoyed learning how to code and participated in catechesis activities that included learning more about the liturgical calendar, parables, and the precious gift of life at any stage. They also created keepsake art work, and even built a Rube Goldberg machine that could crack an egg!

Grades 5-8 spent their time building and coding an autonomous vehicle. They also went on a field trip to Detroit to see a May Mobility autonomous car on the road and visited Lear Corporation to learn more about all the different parts that go into building an autonomous vehicle. These students also built Catechesis of the Good Shepherd materials that included a 3-D model of Jerusalem and Israel, painted dioramas of the infancy narratives, and built the tomb of the resurrection model.
