Test-Taking Skills for EA Students

March 10, 2021

Congratulations to 4th-8th grade students who complete Trimester II exams last week. Everest considers summative assessments an important part of the intellectual formation offered to students. Not only do exams serve as an evaluation of understanding of course material, the entire process of reviewing, preparing, and presenting final examinations involves the exercise of important intellectual skills and habits as well as preparation for post-secondary education.

Test-taking skills start at the elementary level. Teachers work with students on weekly spelling tests and additional assessments. Teachers guide students as they practice studying, following instructions, and taking tests. Mrs. Fazzoni in first grade read her students each question aloud as they took their recent science test. She guided them through multiple choice questions and test-taking strategies.
