Traditional Baby Jesus Blessing

One of the more endearing traditions at Everest each Advent is the blessing of the Baby Jesus. Mountaineers bring in their Baby Jesuses from their Nativity scenes at home. At Friday Mass, Father gives the Mountaineers and their Baby Jesuses a special blessing. The blessing is a tradition that began in Rome when the Holy Father invites the faithful to bring their Baby Jesuses to the Vatican for a blessing. The blessing is a prayer that for the families who look upon the manager, that God will bless them.
