Middle school at Everest can be tough but it is also one of the best things I've ever experienced. My class and I have experienced so many things together as a community and a family. Middle school can be super fun but it also can be super tough at some points but it gets easier. I love all of the fun activities and trips we attend. I think my favorite part is the friendships. I love making friends with international students and students with different grades than me and not just my own. The international program is something so cool and I've never experienced anything like that. - Ava Grant

Middle school at Everest is probably one of the best years in my entire life. At Everest we make so many fun memories with friends and teachers and staff. We also have so much fun being with the boarders and getting to know them and their culture. Eighth grade is probably the best year of middle school so far because we have so many exciting moments with each other and fun interactions with the teachers. -Carrie Walker

Middle school at Everest has been really fun and looking back through the years there were many things that made middle school a very fun and joyful experience. For example, after school we would have this thing called ECYD where you would go over to the high school to hang out with your friends and talk about God. Another example is how the school had this system of having students from anywhere on the Spanish or Korean spectrum and they would come here to Everest and everyone would become good friends and keep in touch later on. -Scarlet Dougoveto

Middle school at Everest is an amazing experience that you won’t get anywhere else. Here at Everest you get a chance to meet new students from many different countries and learn their way of life. Many students come from Mexico, Spain, and Korea. Everest still also has recess which many middle schools don’t have. Recess gives us students some time to relax and talk to our friends. In middle school we get to choose our electives, making the classes we choose our choice. - Leah Westlake

My middle school time at Everest has been a very good experience so far. I have met a lot of new friends and have gotten the opportunity to play a lot of new sports. And I have learned a lot of new material compared to my other friends in other schools. I really enjoy being at this middle school. -John Neme

Middle school at Everest is some of the best years in school. It is such a fun time, and you can make great friendships. It is great that we are able to talk to a consecrated or a priest almost anytime that you need. There are so many fun activities in middle school that I will never forget. -Nora Nedwick

Middle school at Everest is amazing. All of the kids are so nice. It is a very tight-knit community. To be completely honest I don’t even want to go to high school I enjoy middle school so much. My favorite year so far is this 8th grade year. Having international students in our class is great. Middle school can be challenging at times but the outcome of a good test grade, a new friendship, or a good laugh makes it all worth it. -Mary Groves

Middle school at Everest gives you an amazing community. The people at Everest are very inviting, especially the teachers and the priests. all the spiritual and human formation can be found at Everest. - Jonah Reichert

Middle school at Everest is a very good environment to be in because there are very nice kind caring good people teachers and I love the part that we can just go into the chapel when we need or want. And we always put god first in everything we do. We pray every class and before and after we have mass every friday we have adoration when we have opportunities if there is an opening. -Elea Lacey

I think the best years at Everest would be Middle School. Middle school is mostly when all the international students come and they are really fun and make the school day more interesting. In middle school, you get more privileges than in the lower elementary school and you have more freedom. I also love how we are very close friends with everyone even in grades below and above us. In middle school, you get a lot more homework, tests, and quizzes. You have to work really hard and try to do the best you can at all times. -Allison Schmitt

Middle school at Everest is difficult. There are more classes to switch and there are more things to keep track of. Eventually, you learn to be more responsible and deal with this. You aren't in it alone, you have friends from last year and new friends to meet. The teachers are understanding when you are a few minutes late or so for the first week. A fun part of middle school is that you get more elective choices and different things to sign up. If I had the option to go to a different school, i would not leave because my mountaineer family is here. -Isabella Baumann

Middle School at Everest is like nothing I have ever experienced before. It is full of challenges, faith formation, and friendships. Everest’s academics pushes you to your full potential. Each teacher cares about your learning and wants to help you strive in life. You have so many chances to succeed and lots of clubs or options to improve skills such as leadership, friendship, and teamwork. Some examples are Student council, National Junior Honor Society, The spelling bee ,and forensics. In middle school you are also granted a lot more opportunities such as participating in the plays, school dances and more competitive sports. When given these opportunities, you have more chances to gain more friendship. Some of my best friends are from sports communication and different club activities. I am excited to attend my first school dance in October with my friends. Another reason I love Middle school at Everest is because I am constantly surrounded by people who love each other and truly believe in one another. Every morning I am welcomed by wonderful people with beautiful smiles and kind hearts. Our Everest family is so strong and so special to me because they always make me feel like I’m never alone and they’ve taught me that I am never alone because God is always there for me, for you and for everyone. -Sophia Werner

Middle School at Everest to me means a lot more than just learning. It's about God and so many other things. I love that we get to have formation coaching with people you know really care about you. We also get to have so many experiences like meeting new people from a new country. In middle school you get a lot more privileges that can make you feel cool, even if they are super small like walking over to the other building by yourself. I love middle school because you also become the role model for the younger kids. They look up to you so it challenges you to be your best self wherever you are. Middle school is definitely more stressful than elementary school but it also challenges you, and you get to realize yourself that you are so much smarter than you think. Everest not only challenges you but helps you to grow stronger in faith. And that's what I think middle school is all about. -Bryce Anderson
